Welcome to the 18th Annual South Atlantic Championships volleyball tournament! 

This tournament (“SAC”) is an annual event played over Memorial Day weekend. The tournament will take place May 25 – 27, 2024 primarily at the Henrico Sports and Events Center and Greater Richmond Convention Center.

The tournament will offer single age groups 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 / 16 / 17 / 18. The 12’s division will accommodate girls or boys teams. 14s-16s division will offer club and open divisions. Up to 32 teams will be accepted in each division.

REFUND POLICY: Teams withdrawing before the entry deadline of April 1 after being accepted to the event will receive a refund of $575.  Teams withdrawing after the entry deadline, including no shows, will not receive a refund regardless of the circumstances. All credit card fees are non-refundable.

All schedules will be available the week of the tournament.

There will be staggered start times for Monday play starting at 7:45am. You could switch facilities so teams can finish as quickly as possible.

General Information

Teams are accepted on a "first paid, first accepted" basis. Teams living outside a 50 mile radius must stay in our hotel block and book their rooms through the housing bureau. Registration will remain open until division is filled.

Admission
Spectators will be able to purchase either a one day pass or a weekend pass to gain entry to the tournament. All passes are delivered electronically through a QR code and each person attending will need to present a photo ID and their own QR code for entry.

  • Passes can be purchases through Sportwrench starting May 15th.
  • All refunds must be requested before Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 pm EST via email.
  • An individual ticket must be purchased for each spectator. QR code tickets may not be shared or transferred.
  • Once a ticket is scanned, it cannot be refunded.
  • Lost or forgotten tickets can be retrieved with a photo ID
  • COVID-19 Agreements & Acknowledgements: Anyone who is exhibiting any symptoms or feelings of unwell are asked to not attend

If you are playing in this event, make sure your free University Athlete profile is up to date so college coaches have your correct Graduation Year, Commitment Status, and Contact Information.

Club Coaches: Please be sure to include player info on your rosters when registering. This is how player info is transmitted to college coaches!
