Registration opens on November 1 and rosters are not required to enter. Pools will be posted the week of the tournament on the home page of Sportwrench.   

Early registration is highly recommended. Teams are accepted on a “first paid, first accepted basis.” Teams living outside a 50 mile radius must stay in our hotel block and book their rooms through the housing bureau. The deadline for entries is April 1, 2024, but could close earlier if divisions fill.

To complete the entry process we must receive proper payment, a signed tournament entry form, and confirmation from 288 Travel that hotel reservations have been made.

The entry fee for the 2024 Girls’ South Atlantic Championships will be $725 if paid by check.  There will be a non-refundable surcharge of $30 per team if payment is made by credit card.  We will continue to accept entries after the deadline but there is no guarantee teams will be accepted. There are no refunds after the April 1 entry deadline. Each team will be guaranteed 7 matches (or game equivalent).

REFUND POLICY: Teams withdrawing before the entry deadline of April 1 after being accepted to the event will receive a refund of $575.  Teams withdrawing after the entry deadline, including no shows, will not receive a refund regardless of the circumstances.

All credit card fees are non-refundable.

Team check-in is completely VIRTUAL this year. Coaches should receive an email with a link and instructions on how to check your team in.

TEAM ENTRY:

• Coaches & Staff listed on the roster will be issued a special QR code. They will also have to show the QR code and Government issued ID to enter the venue.
• Players must be in uniform to enter.

COACHES’ MEETING:

We are pleased to announce that there is not a Coaches’ Meeting. We will notify you if there are any changes to the playing format.

The South Atlantic Championships is a three-day event played over the Memorial Day weekend with all matches being played the best two-out-of-three games to 25 with a 15 point third game. Single three team pools (no crossover matches) will play three 25 point games.

There will be staggered start times for Monday play starting at 7:45am.

Matches will be played at the Henrico Sports and Events Center or Greater Richmond Convention Center.

For the top two teams in the Gold Division, the South Atlantic Championships are pleased to present individual awards for the 12–18 year old age groups. There will be individual awards for the top team only in all other divisions.
