Hotel Booking Through 288 Travel

2026 Dave & Buster's Volley by the James is a “Stay and Play” event. This requires all teams located outside of a 50 mile radius of Richmond, VA to stay at the specially negotiated Host Hotels with reservations made through 288 Travel. This program helps keep team costs down with substantial savings on room rates, hotel amenities and discounts on dining while still providing unique experiences throughout the tournament.

All room reservations must be handled through 288 Travel. Team Room Block Holds and Individual Reservations can be made at the web links below.  288 Travel will monitor hotel room consumption by attending clubs and teams in its administration of the “Stay to Play” housing format. Each team is required to book 12 rooms for this event. (ie: 4 rooms for 3 nights or 6 rooms for 2 nights)

  • No outside food is permitted. There is a cafe on site and restaurants close by. (See Guide below)
    • All Aramark concessions and bar outlets at the Greater Richmond Convention Center will operate as cashless facilities. They no longer accept cash but will continue to accept credit, debit, and tap-to-pay options (including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay). No cash-to-credit conversion services will be available on-site.
  • No outside chairs will be permitted inside the playing venue, seating will be provided.
  • Parking: There are parking garages around the Convention Center that will have special weekend rates. Street parking is also available if you can find it.

  • Guests cannot bring in outside food or beverages. One empty, refillable container will be permitted to use at the various water fountains. Concessions will be available to guests. Vending machines are located inside the building.
  • No outside chairs will be permitted inside the playing venue, seating will be provided.
  • Parking: Free, no overnight parking. Guests are encouraged to carpool as there are two new hotels under construction that will limit available parking near the facility. Visit our “Directions & Parking” page for more information. ADA parking is available onsite and is on a first come first serve basis. 
  • Only credit cards are accepted for concessions and box office payments. Staff are not capable of processing cash payments. 
  • Attendees will be required to pass through metal detectors as part of the entry process. This measure is in place to ensure the safety and security of everyone at the event. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in adhering to this protocol.
