NEW this year, families will pay a set Team Cost. The team costs by age group and level are detailed below. The only additional costs are the required USAV Membership and travel/hotel cost for parents and players.

Families will have the following payment options: 

1. Pay the total team cost up front.

2. Pay the total team cost over 4 months charged; December, February, April and June.

3. Pay the total team cost over 7 months charged; December - June.

If choosing the 4 or 7 month option, you will be charged the same amount over the course of the payment plan selected. This payment plan will be set up through your Sports Engine account and will be charged automatically. 

Please read below for information on team cost for the 2023-24 season.

Practices

Teams practice 2-3 times during the week depending on the level. Practice times are between 5:15pm - 7:00pm or 7:15pm - 9:00pm. Players should arrive 15 minutes early each night to practice and be dressed ready to go before practice starts. Players should also be promptly picked up after practice. Players are given practice shirts for the season and are EXPECTED to wear them to practice each night. What color to wear is up to the player, the team or the coach.

Practices as well as tryouts are closed to parents and friends. This is to minimize distractions and provide an environment that is optimal for learning and training.

New - There is a change this year with required Strength and Conditioning. This season it will not be a requirement for any team. Players will have the options for signing up if it's something they are interested in participating in. Information about those optional sessions will be available on the Travel page once the season starts.

Tournaments

Parents are responsible for their child's transportation, meals, housing etc. If a parent can't attend a tournament, there should be another parent or guardian responsible. These responsibilities do not fall on the coach. The coach is only responsible for the volleyball demands of the players and team while at the venue of play during their wave.

Hotels

Parents are responsible for securing hotels for themselves and their child. RVC will only book coach rooms. However at most if not all tournaments, RVC will secure a block of rooms for parents to book at a discounted rate if they so choose. That information will be shared by the club and the coach at a later date. Parents are able to choose what hotel themselves and their child stay at. This does not apply to STAY AND PLAY tournaments.

Stay and Play tournaments are those where the tournament requires that the club/team secures as certain number of rooms. And can be only done so at hotel(s) that are assigned by the tournament. This information is then shared with the parents and they MUST book using the hotel link provided. If not, the team and/or club can be penalize monetarily or worse removed from the tournament.

The Tournament Schedule notes which tournaments are Stay and Play tournaments / which ones are not.

A list of hotels and booking links will be shared with the parents in October and updated as more hotels are secure/assigned.
