The 2008 Ukrop's Volleyball Showcase is an annual Labor Day weekend event started by Mills Godwin High School (Richmond, VA) and continued with the help of the Richmond Volleyball Club.  The top 32 high school volleyball boys and girls teams were invited to play at VCU's Siegel Center in Richmond Virginia.  Invitations were sent to the teams that participated the previous year and to any team that calls and requests information for the following year.  If the tournament did not filled after three weeks after the original invitations were sent, an open invitation was sent to all schools.

Now the tournament will accept more than sixteen entries in both the boys and girls (in multiples of four) and will have multiple champions. The tournament will be played in the Greater Richmond Convention Center and will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, August 29 and should conclude by 9:00pm that evening. Saturday, August 30 play will begin at 9:00am and should conclude by 6:00pm.  Every team is guaranteed four matches.  All matches are best of  five 25-point rally scoring games. National High School Federation rules apply.

The entry fee for the event is $285.
