Virginia Volleyball Showcase
Virginia's Largest High School Tournament!

The 2009 Virginia Volleyball Showcase is an annual Labor Day weekend event started by Mills Godwin High School (Richmond, VA) and continued with the help of the Richmond Volleyball Club.  The top 32 high school volleyball boys and girls teams were invited to play at VCU's Siegel Center in Richmond Virginia.  Invitations were sent to the teams that participated the previous year and to any team that calls and requests information for the following year.  If the tournament did not filled after three weeks after the original invitations were sent, an open invitation was sent to all schools.

Now the tournament will accept 32 girl's teams, 16 boy's teams and will have multiple champions in the girl's division. The tournament will be played in the Greater Richmond Convention Center and will begin at 1:00pm on Friday,September 4 and should conclude by 9:00pm that evening. Saturday, September 5 play will begin at 9:00am and should conclude by 6:00pm.  Every team is guaranteed four matches.  All matches are best of  five 25-point rally scoring games. Virginia High School League (VHSL) and National High School Federation (NFHS) rules apply.

The entry fee for the Virginia Volleyball Showcase is $300.

Unfortunately Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) will be hosting their collegiate tournament the weekend before this year's Virginia Volleyball Showcase.
