Welcome and thank you for taking part in the 9th Annual Monument City Classic Girls Volleyball Tournament presented by Union First Market Bank. As the largest community bank based solely in Virginia, Union First Market Bank actively supports efforts to make our communities vibrant.

The tournament will be held January 19 - 21, 2013 in the the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Spectator addmission will be $15 for the event or $7 per day.
We will again offer Open / Club Divisions for the 14's - 17's and will continue to offer a 12's division. We will only offer one division of 18's (32 teams) and one division of 13's (24 teams). There will be twenty four teams accepted in the 13's/14 Club/14 Open/15 Open/17 Open/17 Club divisions (format*), thirty two teams in the 15 Club/16 Club/16Open/18's divisions (format), and eight teams in the 12 and under division (format*). Registration will open November 1, 2012 and rosters are not required to enter. Pools will be posted the week of the tournament on the home page of Advanced Event Systems . Place cursor over "Participate" and click on Schedules
Our inaugural girl's event in 2005 saw 72 teams competing on 20 courts. The tournament hosted single age groups
for 18/17/16/15/14 and under teams on a first come first served basis all in the convention center. The 2006 event saw 124 teams competing on 22 courts in the convention center. We once again hosted single age groups that included Open and Club Divisions for the 16's and 18's. The tournament filled well ahead of the entry deadline. Last year 280 teams competed over the holiday weekend with over 370 teams trying to enter. This year we expect to accept 280 teams in to the event. Early registration is highly recommended.

We will utilize Advance Event Systems for the online registration. Teams are accepted on a "first paid, first accepted basis." Teams living outside a 50 mile radius must stay in our hotel block. The deadline for entries is December 14, 2012, but could close earlier if divisions fill.
To complete the entry process we must receive proper payment, a signed tournament entry form, and confirmation from PSA that hotel reservations have been made. Paying by credit card and faxing the tournament entry form to (804) 358-1018 is the fastest way to start the entry process. The entry fee is $595 for the 13's through 18's divisions and $500 for the 12's division. Each team
will be guaranteed seven matches (or game equivalent).
There will be an IMPACT Clinic held in conjunction with the tournament. The clinic will be held on Friday, January 18 at 6:00pm in the Dominion / Commonwealth room located in the lower level of the downtown Marriott. The cost for the clinic is $100 and checks need to be made payable to "USAV Old Dominion Region".
