The Boys' East Coast Championship (BECC) is an annual event played over Memorial Day weekend. This tournament is part of the USA Volleyball (USAV) qualification process used to determine the "Open Division" teams at the Boys' Junior Olympic Championships (JOVC). The BECC awards up to three bids in each age group, provided there are a minimum of twelve entries in the age group.   In the event of previously qualified teams the bids will trickle down. 

The format will be determined by the USAV Competition Committee and will follow all policies set forth in the USAV Bid Tournament Manual. As soon as the bid manual is made available we will post it or link directly to the USAV web site.

Registration will open on Friday, February 15. We will utilize Advanced Event Systems for our online registration process . This is the same system used by USA Volleyball and the Boy's Junior National Championships.. The tournament will take place May 24 - 26, 2008 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.The entry fee for the 2008 Boys' East Coast Championships in the 14 through 18 divisions will be $550. The entry fee for the 12 and 13 divisions (2 day event) will be $395. We will continue to accept entries after the April 25, 2008 deadline but there is no quaranty teams will be accepted. There are no refunds after the entry deadline.

The Old Dominion Region will offer an IMPACT Clinic 6:00pm Friday night ,May 25 at a site to be determined. IMPACT is the minimum coaching requirement for any team interested in participating in the Junior National Championships or its qualifying events and this will be your last chance for a face to face clinic. The cost is $75 and the checks need to be made payable to "USAV Old Dominion Region."

Check - In will begin at 5pm on Friday, May 23and will continue until 10pm. Please enter the convention center through the doors at the corner of 3rd and Marshall Streets.
